| Okay, first of all, Nation is FAMILY. That's the main reason I wanted my newest tattoo. I made the design for the logo like, I don't even know, 3 years ago on my dad's outdated version of CAD. Since it's creation Nation hasn't been just about the skating. Hell, with work and college, for me it's barely about the skating. Nation has been a wonderful family of five throughout it's existence. Actually, Mike is my cousin, and just like one would guess in Honeoye. Matt may be some sort of 3rd cousin, twice removed, we're not sure yet. I believe that even after all of us can't skate anymore, if that ever happens, Nation and it's symbol will represent much more than a skate team. There's the five of us, so I got five stars to stand for all of us, my crew. The only five people in Honeoye that will always be true to each other, no matter what. We always stand by each other, even if one decides to move back to D-Ville, and another is gone for a little while. I could do nothing more that I haven't already done for these four, than show them the respect of letting them know that they will be with me forever. I mean, it was a little feminine feeling to have the hair shaved off my leg for the tattoo, but that shows that I'd do anything for these people, even shave my legs. The pain wasn't that bad, after the one on my back, I'll tell you right now that your spine is sensitive. Okay, that's all I have to say about that. Much respect to my family, The Nation Skate Team. ![]() Written by Gabe Gendreau on 9/1/2002 |
